He interacts with the space, composes his work, neatly draws the lines, gives shape to the ideas…for this architect who has been designing homes for almost 24 years now, architecture is like frozen music. And he likes to play it along.
Avoid clutter: Very few people would like to stick to the basic requirements, which is why the cluttered element comes in. The utilization of space, making it gel with all the components of a home; interconnectivity of spaces, privacy of certain areas, using furniture or even flooring that complements a place are the important considerations in designing.
And it flows: As a student of architecture, we were asked to do case studies, library and internet studies, which we still follow. Every building has positives and negatives. I use the positives in a practical manner and always try to do away with the negatives. Thanks to Le Corbusier, the total architecture and planning of Chandigarh has been the point of reference for us. The Secretariat, Sector-17 market, Government Museum and Art Gallery…have the perfect elements of present-day architecture.
